About Dr. Washabaugh

Edward Washabaugh, MD, FIPP, has over 25 years of experience in interventional pain management with special clinical and research interests in spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pain pumps, and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He is a founding member of Michigan Pain Specialists and serves patients in Ypsilanti and Adrian, Michigan.

Dr. Washabaugh was born in Bay City, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Washabaugh completed his internship at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and his residency in anesthesiology was at the University of Iowa. He is a fellow of Interventional Pain Practice. In addition to his medical practice, he is on the executive board of the Michigan Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and Washtenaw County Medical Society.

Dr. Washabaugh is board certified in pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine. He has a subspecialty certification in pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and was re-certified by the ABA. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Washabaugh resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife and has three children and one grandchild.
